MEET WATER PUMP SPECIALIST, ALAN HUNGERFORD

At Adventure Pumps, we believe in giving back to our community and making a difference in people’s lives. Our Managing Director, Alan Hungerford, is proud to volunteer his time and expertise at Nexus Care, a Brisbane-based charity that has been transforming lives in the northern suburbs since 2011.

Alan is able to volunteer and donate to Nexus Care to help support their mission of empowering individuals and families to overcome poverty and distress. Our commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability aligns perfectly with Nexus Care’s people-focused, evidence-based approach to care.

Adventure Pumps also donate to Compassion Australia from every kit sold across Compassion Australia’s various areas, particularly ‘water sanitation’ ‘Education & Training’ ‘Income Generation’ & ‘Christmas Gift’ projects.

Alan’s personal experience during his 1.5-year lap of Australia, where he hand-built a 12V water transfer pump kit, inspired him to create a product that would not only revolutionize the way people travel but also contribute to the community. Adventure Pumps was born from the desire to save fellow adventurers valuable time, allowing them to fully enjoy their journey across Australia.

Now, our company is dedicated to providing high-quality water transfer pump kits, sharing valuable tips, and inspiring others to Go, Further, Stay Longer! We are proud to have Alan volunteer at Nexus Care in their quest to improve lives, driven by their faith in Christ and their passion for helping people find a fresh start.

I spent two years exploring Australia’s backyard with my wife, two young children and dog Tazzie in our fantastic 22FT Jayco Journey Outback Caravan.

While other travellers were limited by how much water they could carry, because they relied solely on their Caravan or RV water tanks for supply, we were able to explore places others couldn’t – and at a much more leisurely pace because we carried five additional water containers (110 Litres) in the Landcruiser and an Adventure Pump which provided us with greater flexibility (and water on board when we were away from the van) and countless memories exploring this incredible country.

From 6 days along the Nullarbor (most do a mad dash in 2 days due to limited water refill stations) and the Gibb River Road in the heart of the Kimberly’s. We’ve seen so much of Australia thanks to the Adventure Pump prototype that was the inspiration for the products we now offer direct to you, our fellow adventurers, so safe travels and we hope to see you out on the road someday!
